"I spread several layers of material to create rough, raised, irregular surfaces where the color pigments can deposit unevenly and give a more realistic, almost primordial, organic feeling to the whole.

The material, coming out of the canvas, from a flat surface, goes towards the viewer. It attracts the gaze, to bring the observer closer and in contact with my work. The reliefs and shadows generated by the mixture, offer multiple visions depending on the point of view.

The material is the starting point, it is palpable, concrete, it is something that binds me to simple, everyday, known and reassuring things".
