The Gong Cities

Cities are the place where men and women have chosen to live to dominate nature for their own consumption and to satisfy their desires and needs. They are a place of concentration not only demographic, but also of impulses. They develop from a central nucleus, the historical center, towards the outskirts; in this growth is associated an inexhaustible dynamism of people, stories and individuals, an inexhaustible movement. Hence the name "The Gong Cities" like the sound of the gong, the ancient Chinese instrument where the sound expands in space and time, as happens in the development of a metropolis.
