Maps

Maps are an aerial view of a fragment of our real or imagined planet.

They are graphic, physical and visual representations of territories: crowded metropolises, desolate lands, cities crossed by rivers or overlooking the ocean, lands known and at the same time imagined. Maps are traces of humanity, paths of hope, departures, places that witness stories, absences, interpretations of our times.

The surface is created by applying multiple layers of material and subsequently enriched with raised material tiles similar to embroidery or mosaic.

Finally I intervene with acrylic color whose pigments emphasize and enhance the composition.

The stand is made of plywood and has a 3cm back frame.
